Glimmers

You might have had some challenges this week, but amidst those challenges, you also had some things that went well. I want you to go back and look at those, because today it’s time for Friday Glimmers.

Glimmers are things that went well—things you can point to, things with a memory attached to them.

For me, my glimmers this week were:

On Saturday, I got to see The Odyssey in 70mm IMAX at Universal Studios. As the joke goes, “as Nolan intended.”

On Wednesday, I attended a private ScreenX screening of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which was amazing. I even got a hat, and I still have my voucher for a free drink and popcorn.

Then, on Thursday night, I got to see it again with my son. It was great getting to experience Spider-Man twice in one week.

And now I’m on vacation.

Vacation means reading and coffee shops, and that’s one of my favorite combinations. This week Barack Obama’s annual reading list came out, and it’s become a tradition of mine each year to pick up a few of the books he recommends. Yesterday I went to Village Well and bought one from the list, and I checked another one out from the library.

Those are my glimmers.

Now I’d love to hear about yours.

What were your glimmers this week—the moments, big or small, that made you smile or reminded you that good things happened too?
