Step by step, brick by brick, drip by drip.

That is how you move toward your accomplishments, your goals, and your dreams. It is challenging, but you keep going—step by step, brick by brick, drip by drip.

And eventually, you begin to move forward.

I don’t know where you are going to end up. Honestly, I don’t even know where I am going to end up. But I am learning that what I desire is not only a financial goal. I also want to experience the joy of the journey.

That can be difficult because we see so many people achieving incredible financial success, and their success quickly becomes the bullseye. We begin measuring our progress against their destination instead of appreciating the road we are traveling.

Yes, I want my creative work to become financially successful. But I also want to enjoy the creative journey. I want to enjoy the writing, the experimenting, the learning, the small victories, and even the moments when nothing seems to be working.

That is the work I am doing now: learning to enjoy my own creative journey as I continue creating—step by step, brick by brick, drip by drip.
