Slow Sunday 13

Slow Sunday is written by hand. Once a week, I slow down, put pen to paper, photograph the page, and share it with you just as it came out.

I want Sunday to be slow so I can avoid starting a new week.

I asked myself: why am I looking forward to days off more than going to work? Then I think back and remember that what I now dread was once hoped for.

Hope is attached to the opportunities to serve, to participate in working to aid others in overcoming difficult circumstances. The dread centers on being shorthanded, the repeating and numerous crises, and the uncertain future. All of it, added and mixed together, equals bypassing the present to yearn for the days off.

A slight shift in thinking is warranted. Joy can be found resting on Sunday and expecting what Monday has in store.

What are you dreading that you once hoped for?

Here, I made this. My gift to you, for taking the time to read.

Images are from my imagination, generated by AI. Writing is all me.
