Glimmers
It’s Friday, and that means it’s time for Friday Glimmers.
Glimmers are a way to look back and notice the moments that brought joy, gratitude, or a sense of peace during the week. It’s easy for challenges to take center stage in our minds. We replay frustrations, worries, and setbacks. Glimmers remind us that good things happened too.
Here are my glimmers from this week:
Going to the Getty Museum to see an African American photo exhibit.
Being able to work remotely now that the students are out for the summer.
Having vacation time available—and actually taking advantage of it.
Making the most of my AMC A-List membership by seeing two movies this week, including The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie in IMAX.
Trying a new coffee shop, Boulevard Coffee.
Watching my son begin his internship this week.
Looking forward to a celebration dinner for two friends whose sons are graduating.
When I stop and take inventory, I realize this week held more good moments than I might have remembered otherwise.
What were your glimmers this week?
