Flavor of Ice Cream

I decided to open up a book I bought years ago called 301 Writing Ideas and pick one question each day for my blog. It keeps things fresh and interesting, and it’s a fun way to stay consistent without overthinking what to write.

Today’s question is:

If you were an ice cream flavor, what would you be?

Here’s my answer:

If I were an ice cream flavor, I would be chocolate chip cookie dough.

Why? Because it isn’t plain or regular, but an interesting combination that feels new, fresh, and unexpected. You expect to find cookie dough when you make cookies, but not in ice cream. That unexpected twist makes it exciting and memorable.

Sometimes the simplest writing prompts spark the most playful self-reflection.
