What I don’t want to do.
Doing what you don’t want to do is a skill you build by simply showing up.
When the alarm goes off in the morning, you wake up, take a shower, and go to work. Yes, making money is part of it—but work also makes a difference in your life and in the lives of others.
The person serving you your morning coffee deserves a bit of appreciation. The individual at the gas station punching in your pump number and total has dreams, goals, and aspirations, just like you.
It’s true that it would be easier to roll over and go back to sleep. But getting up, taking a shower, and preparing for the day puts you in a position to contribute—to your family, your community, and the people you cross paths with in small but meaningful ways.
Question for you: What is one “I don’t feel like it” task you do regularly that actually helps you show up as the person you want to be?
