Thursday Treasures

Thursday is an interesting day.

I've got to be honest: Thursday gets me one day closer to Friday. Friday is what I actually want, because Friday means the end of the workweek and the beginning of a weekend off.

But when I think that way, I'm skipping Thursday.

I'm overlooking the possibility that there are treasures hidden in this day — things I might enjoy, moments I could appreciate, experiences I'll miss entirely because I'm already looking ahead.

It may sound cliché, even a little cheesy, to call them "Thursday treasures." But maybe there really are treasures to be found on a Thursday. Maybe I can enjoy this day instead of treating it like something to get through before the weekend starts.

So today, instead of looking past Thursday, I'm looking for what's in it.
