Super Sunday

During halftime of the Bears–Patriots Super Bowl in 1986, I went outside and lay down in the middle of the street. Why? It was Chicago, and almost everyone was watching the game. I thought it would be a neat thing to do.

There was no battle over the halftime show. No loyalty oaths to country. Just football.

I wish it were still that way.
