Starting Again-365 Blog Posts
It’s been a goal of mine to write 365 blog posts and finally build a consistent streak. I’ve written a lot of blog posts over the years, but they’ve come in waves—streaks followed by gaps.
I’m inspired by Seth Godin, who has been writing a daily blog for decades. He’s used that consistent output to build a platform, and he often says that writing daily is a powerful way to grow—both personally and professionally. I believe him.
So, after finishing my doctorate, I’m giving it another go. Today is Day 1 of my new 365-blog-post challenge. My goal? To write 365 blog posts without stopping. To keep posting and sharing until—well, I guess until my body breaks down and I head to the grave. A bit morbid, I know—but what the heck.
Which brings me to a key question: How do you write 365 blog posts in a year?
There are two main strategies: you can batch your content—writing multiple posts in a day and scheduling them to publish over time—or you can sit down and write one post each day. Either way, the bottom line is this: you have to write.
So… what do I write about for the next 365 days?
I want my words to be helpful. But honestly—who is even reading this right now? I don’t really know. What I do know is that I want to write from a place of peace, joy, care, and compassion.
Yes, I want to grow a platform. I want to reach more people. I want readers. I want income, eventually. But I want it all to come from a place of service and kindness, to the best of my ability.
There’s already too much rage and moral outrage masquerading as righteousness in the world. Maybe I’m wrong for being idealistic—but you know what? Idealism is a choice. Choosing it puts me in the arena.
And that’s where I want to be. In the arena. Contributing. Creating. Trying to make things just a little bit better.
Question for You:
If you had to write and share something every day for a year—what would you say? And what's holding you back from starting?
