Make Monday Magical
What if, instead of dreading Monday morning, you tried to make it magical?
Why do we dread Mondays? Usually, it isn't because of Monday itself. It's because Monday means returning to work. When Monday is a holiday, we look forward to it.
Making Monday magical doesn't mean pretending everything is perfect. It means intentionally shifting your attention toward what is still meaningful about the life you are living.
Remember: some of the things you are doing today were once things you wished for, worked toward, or even prayed for.
The career you have may once have been the opportunity you hoped would come. You prepared for the interview. You waited for the call. There was a former version of you who deeply wanted to be where you are now.
Remember that person.
Monday gives you another chance to give, serve, contribute to your community, and make someone else's day a little better. Step into those opportunities and move forward with purpose.
Yes, you may become fatigued. By the end of the day, you may want nothing more than to go home and sleep. But your tiredness is not a verdict on your attitude or your gratitude. Sometimes, it is simply the natural result of expending yourself on something that matters.
Monday may not feel magical automatically. But you can work on your attitude, look for meaning in what you do, and remember the life you once hoped to have.
Then you can meet Monday with gratitude, and contribute something good to the day.
What are you doing today that you once prayed for?
