Fry-yeh

Friday — or if you’re excited, Fry-yeh.

Even though I’m at home, exhausted from a tense week with many fires to put out — and some still burning — it’s healthy to look back at some glimmers from the past week.

• The Korean coffee beans my wife brought back for me from Korea.

• The new analog bag she got me on her trip.

• The iced shaken espresso I had Thursday morning.

• The burger from Amboy we had at work to celebrate a co-worker’s birthday.

• The daily cuteness of our dog.

• Evening dog walks.

• NBA playoffs starting.

• My office television to watch Champions League soccer midweek.

• The squid dissection event at work.

• The visit from the Hoop Bus at work.

Look for your glimmers. Write them down. They won’t erase your problems — but they will help you find perspective for the journey.

What’s one small moment from this week that you almost let slip by unnoticed — and what would it mean to actually pause and honor it?
