Friday Glimmers

A broken clock is right twice a day. And you know what? You can at least acknowledge the clock. It's doing something right twice a day.

Even when you've had a hellacious week and wanted to throw up the white flag, some things still went well. Those things are glimmers. Friday glimmers.

Look back on your week and say, "Hey, despite the challenges and the circumstances I didn't like, here's what went well."

For me, this week had plenty of glimmers: seeing Resident Evil, going to church on Sunday, watching the Cubs clinch a playoff spot yesterday, and seeing the joy in our families' eyes at Back-to-School Night. I got to brew my own coffee this week and watch Sunday football in multiview on YouTube TV. And I'm looking forward to our school luau.

These are things that went well. They're things I can look forward to.

So, as you head into the weekend and recover from whatever you didn't like, find your glimmers.

What went right this week that you almost didn't count?

Here, I made this. My gift to you, for taking the time to read.
